EDD and DCA host Save Our Stages Webinar

January 22nd, 2021

The New Mexico Economic Development Department (EDD) and the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) New Mexico Arts division will be hosting a webinar to cover the basics of the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG), also known as the Save Our Stages (SOS) Act, a federal economic assistance program for arts organizations. The program will be administered through the Small Business Administration.

When: Tuesday, Jan. 26, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This initiative passed as part of the COVID Relief Package. If you are a theatrical producer, talent rep, venue promoter, operate a live venue, live performing arts organization, movie house, or cultural institution you may be eligible to apply for the SVOG.

In this webinar, discussion will focus on the latest updates to this program.

Panelists include:
Jim Brunberg, Co-chair of NIVA’s (National Independent Venue Association) Implementation Task Force, and Russell Wyrick, Director of the New Mexico Small Business Development Network
